It was the nice Friday morning when I woke up and picked up my Lumia 800 to check out the time, mails and tweets. I discovered a small little enhanced feature (possibly a bug) on my device. My device was in charging mode though it was not connected to power cable.

First I was not able to believe my eyes but after few minutes, I confirmed that as an issue and took up the camera to record it. Sharing it here…. just enjoy.

Before sharing the video let me tell you that, I have never seen this issue earlier in that device prior to installing the Windows Phone 7.8 update and also unable to reproduce it further. Side by side, don’t take it seriously as a feature of WP7.8 because this is not possible due to hardware restriction.

Here is the captured video that I uploaded in YouTube:

After seeing that, I fooled few of my friends saying “WiFi charging on my phone” and that was a big fun. BTW, this is not at all possible in current hardware of the device, possibly a small bug and the charging icon hanged at that time. I hope to see that once again in my phone and want to showcase that to Nokia/Microsoft, if at all possible. For now, just enjoy watching the video.
