How to open a web page from Microsoft Edge with Internet Explorer?


If you are using Windows 10, you must already aware of the new lightweight browser "Microsoft Edge" and had already experienced it. Windows 10 Anniversary Update brought many new features and enhancements to it, which you don't want to miss.

 

In this short post, we will learn about a cool but old feature by which you can open any web page from Microsoft Edge onto Internet Explorer. Continue to know more about it.

Not all websites are compatible to Microsoft Edge yet, some websites need Internet Explorer to run smoothly. If you are using Microsoft Edge as the default browser, you might have to face this in some particular sites and this will cause you to reopen the same page in IE. Windows 10 brought an easy way to relaunch the same web page in Internet Explorer, directly from the Microsoft Edge web browser.

 

You might have already upgraded to Windows 10 Anniversary Update (version: 1607), which released on 2nd August 2016. If not yet done, you can check for updates or can force the system to download it.

 

When you are running Microsoft Edge and already have a web page opened, click the three dots at the top right corner of the browser to open the flyout menu. There you will find an menu item "Open with Internet Explorer". Click to launch the same URL in Internet Explorer. Here is the screenshot of the menu to help you easily identify it:
