Within two days after releasing Windows 10 preview build 17733 for PC to the Fast Ring, Microsoft released one more Windows 10 build (17735) from the Redstone 5 (RS5) branch to the Fast Ring Windows Insiders.

Microsoft is now preparing for the next major feature release of Windows 10, which will come as a free upgrade to the users already running Windows 10. Stepping forward, Microsoft released a new preview build 17733 to the insiders in the fast ring.

 

This build focuses a finished version of the dark theme for File Explorer and a bunch of improvements and fixes. Check out to see what's new, improved and still unfinished in this build.

Last month Microsoft announced that they are ending the support of Skype version 7, which will get discontinued from 1st September 2018. Those who are still using the classic Skype app will be transitioned to the new Skype app.

 

But the customers feedback was not so good with Skype 8 and thus the company decided to extend the support for some more time.

Microsoft, in a blog post announced that they are rolling out Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 17730 to the Windows Insiders in Fast Ring from the Redstone 5 (RS5) branch. Along with this release, they have also announced the availability of the 'Your Phone' app, which will allow Android phone users to easily drag and drop photos from your phone onto your PC.

Microsoft started testing its next major Windows 10 update from a new development branch, code named as '19H1', which is expected to be release around May 2019. But, before that, they have started rolling out the preview builds to Windows Insiders who have opted for Skip Ahead.

 

The Windows 10 preview build 18204 for Skip Ahead brings few new features like updated new emojis and Mixed Reality Flashlight.

Recently Microsoft announced that they are ending the support of classic Skype version 7 and after 1st September 2018 everyone needs to upgrade to Skype 8 to continue its services.

 

Along with the announcement, Microsoft listed out some upcoming features that will be available next in Skype version 8. It includes call recording, read receipts, private conversation etc.

Microsoft has started rolling out an updated version of Skype (version 8) for the desktop that replaces the classic Skype (version 7). They have also announced that the classic version of Skype will stop working after 1st September 2018 and only the Skype 8 will work.

 

So, if you are using Skype and in the old version, upgrade to the latest version of Skype for the desktop to avoid any inconvenience once it reaches the end of support.

Microsoft announced a new feature for OneDrive client that will allow Windows Users and IT Admins to easily migrate their most important files present in Desktop, Documents and Pictures folders by moving them to OneDrive cloud.

 

IT Admins can set this up in user system after taking user consent or silently perform this migration in the background.

Microsoft today announced that the next version of Visual Studio will be named as Visual Studio 2019 and the preview version of Visual Studio 2019 can be installed side-by-side with Visual Studio 2017. Though the release dates of Visual Studio 2019 is not yet announced, but the preview version of the IDE can be expected in the coming months.
