The latest office build 13801.20084 comes with new features for Microsoft Word and Microsoft Outlook client that improves the dictation toolbar, better collaboration in Word, and better user experience.

Microsoft releases a new Office build (version: 2102) for the Office Insiders. The latest build 13801.20004 for Windows users adds a new feature for Microsoft Access, which will now display the selected tabs clearer in Access. Apart from this, the new build adds several bug fixes for issues found in Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Office Suite.

Microsoft's new Chromium-powered Edge browser was considered to be generally available on , and after that, Microsoft Edge went through a couple of release schedules that added many new features and enhancements to the product. Microsoft Edge is a cross-platform web browser developed by Microsoft in 2015 for Windows 10 and Xbox One. Since then, it has been rolled out for Android and iOS in 2017, macOS in 2019, and preview for Linux in 2020. The legacy Microsoft Edge is over, and the latest version is powered by the popular Chromium engine.

 

Microsoft Edge 89 is currently being previewed in Edge Insiders Dev Channel and is going to roll out to the stable channel in the first week of March 2021. According to the Edge roadmap, the next version to bring the following improvements.

Microsoft is working on a new download manager for the Chromium Edge that will make your downloading experience even simpler by showing a menu in the toolbar when you start downloading files. The new experience will also allow you to manage your downloads directly from the Microsoft Edge toolbar.

 

The new download experience is now rolling out to the Edge Insiders in the Canary channel and will be available to the stable release channel later this year.

Microsoft released a new version of PowerToys that adds a bunch of fixes and improvements. Microsoft said that the focus of this release was to improve the FancyZones editor, add some new toys into PowerToys Run, some ARM64 work, and stability. The company also said that it internally tested version 0.31.0 but didn't release it due to a bug in the FancyZonez Editor.

 

Regarding the Video Conference Mute Utility, the wait might be longer than expected. Microsoft plans to roll out a DirectShow based version in February and will merge the utility into the main PowerToys repository sometime in March.

Microsoft's Office Lens has seen a lot of popularity since its first release and has been well adopted on multiple platforms. Now, the Redmond based software giant is rebranding the app with a new name and an icon, based on the fluent design. From now onwards, it will be known as "Microsoft Lens".

Microsoft announced the release of Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 21301 from the RS_PRERELEASE branch. The build is now rolling out to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. With the latest Windows 10 build, Microsoft adds some refinements to the touch keyboard design and some other improvements.

Microsoft announced the release of the new Windows Feature Experience Pack. The latest build (version: 120.2212.2020.0) of Windows Feature Experience Pack is now being rolled out through Windows Update. Windows Insiders who are in the Beta Channel can now grab this build.

In Microsoft Teams, a guest is a person who is not an employee of your organization. A guest doesn't have a school or work account with your organization. Your Microsoft Teams administrator should turn ON the Guest Access in order to allow you to communicate with people outside your organization.

 

As communicated in December 2020, Microsoft is now making some changes to the default setting for Guests in Microsoft Teams. If you have not already configured Guest access capability in Microsoft Teams, that capability will be enabled in your tenant by default.
