Microsoft recently announced that the web version of the cloud storage platform OneDrive will now support photo editing features. That means the users will now be able to edit photos directly on the web version of the OneDrive.

 

You can now crop photos, adjust lights and color, add creative filters, and mark up photos for editing, all in one place, before adding them to presentations, sharing them on social media, or use in meetings to enhance discussions about product development or marketing.

Microsoft has announced that the company will no longer support the OneDrive Sync app on Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 8.1. This will come into effect starting . If you are using OneDrive on any of these platforms, upgrade to the latest version of Windows 10 or Windows 11.

 

In case your PC doesn't support Windows 10, or Windows 11, you will still be able to access your cloud files through the OneDrive web interface.

The mobile commenting feature of OneDrive has been expanded to non-Office file types, including photos, videos, PDF documents, and over 300 other file types. Prior to that, the feature was only working for Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint documents.

Microsoft recently confirmed that the "OneDrive Differential Sync" feature is now enabled for all file types and all customers. This will enable the OneDrive client to sync only a portion of the file that has been changed, resulting in minimal data usages while syncing files.

 

As the feature is now combined with on-demand sync, the OneDrive client will now sync only the files that you need and only the data that has been updated.
