A new Windows 11 Build started rolling out to the Windows Insiders who have opted to receive builds from the Dev Channel. The latest Windows 11 Preview Build 22478 contains no major new features but adds emojis with fluent design.

 

The latest build also adds some changes, improvements, and a bunch of bug fixes. If you are on the Dev Channel, open your Windows Update Settings page, and check for updates.

Last week Microsoft released Windows 11 Build 22454 to the insiders in the Dev Channel. The build was released from the active development branch (RS_PRERELEASE) that adds a modern context menu to the Recycle Bin, network sharing in File Explorer, an updated version of the Korean IME, and a list of bug fixes.

 

Later in the week, Microsoft also released the ISO image of the same Windows 11 Build 22454. Being the first ISO image of the Windows 11 vNext release build, insiders can now perform a clean installation on their system.

Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22454.1000 is now rolling out. The latest build comes from the active development branch (RS_PRERELEASE) and adds few new enhancements and a long list of bug fixes in various parts of the operating system.

 

If you are a Windows Insider in the Dev Channel, you would like to upgrade to this build by clicking the "Check for Updates" button on your Windows Update Settings page.

Windows 11 Build 22449 that was released yesterday to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel from the active development branch, had an issue with the Taskbar, and Start menu. After installing the build, insiders started reporting issues with the non-responsive Start and Taskbar.

 

Microsoft quickly checked and discovered an issue with the server-side deployment that went incorrect. The company now provided a quick fix to get back into a working state on your PC. Follow the steps as stated below.

Microsoft releases a new Windows 11 build, but this time it has been limited to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. That’s because Microsoft is now moving the Dev Channel back to receiving builds from the active development branch (RS_PRERELEASE) and thus it will no longer match the Windows 11 experience that's going to release on October 5th.

Microsoft recently released a new cumulative update (KB5005190) for Windows 11. The latest Windows 11 Build 22000.132 has been already started rolling out to all the insider's PCs running the Dev Channel and Beta Channel builds.

 

The latest build comes with some new improvements for some of the built-in Windows 11 apps like Snipping Tool, Calculator, Mail, and Calendar apps via Microsoft Store to bring them in line with the new OS design.

On June 24, Microsoft officially announced Windows 11, the next major version of Windows which will be offered as a free upgrade to all eligible Windows 10 users. Though Windows 11 will be generally available at the end of this calendar year, Microsoft says that it will start rolling to existing Windows 10 users in 2022.

 

As it was already known that the first preview build of Windows 11 will soon hit the Windows Insiders starting week 28th of June 2021, Microsoft finally releases it. The first version of the official preview build of Windows 11 is now available.
