How to change default search engine in Microsoft Edge on Windows 10?
The new Microsoft Edge, which is powered by a popular chromium engine, was released in mid-January 2020 with a new logo. If you are using Microsoft Edge, you might have noticed that it's using Bing as the default search engine.
If you are not comfortable with Bing search and would like to switch to Google or any other search engine of your choice, here's the step-by-step process.
How to change the default search engine in Microsoft Edge?
- Once you open Microsoft Edge, click the ellipsis (3 dots at the top-right corner) and tap
Settings . - Navigate to
Privacy and services from the left navigation panel. - Scroll down the right panel, and click on
Address bar under theServices section. - Select the dropdown against
Search engine used in the address bar and choose Google or any other search engine of your choice.
That's it! Now open a new tab and perform a search. It will now use the selected search engine instead of the default Bing search.
