Earlier this week, Microsoft released "Windows 11 Build 22509.1000" to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The new build came with new improvements to Start menu, and Microsoft Edge with Narrator. This build also brought several bug fixes.

 

Now the company is releasing a new KB5008918 update to Windows 11 Build 22509 to the insiders in the Dev Channel that bumps up the build number to 22509.1011.

Windows 11 KB5008918 update (Build 22509.1011) is now rolling out to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel as a cumulative update. Microsoft said that this build doesn't include any new features and improvements. Rather, it is designed to test the servicing pipeline for the builds rolling out to the insiders in the Dev Channel.

 

 

Known issues in Windows 11 KB5008918 update (Build 22509.1011)

Microsoft adds a new known issue for this Windows 11 KB5008918 update, which is rolling out as Windows 11 Build 22509.1011 to the insiders. According to Microsoft announcement, some Insiders may encounter an error (an 800F0823 error is shown under update history) trying to install this Cumulative Update.

 

The company also says that a subsequent retry of installing this Cumulative Update is expected to complete successfully. So, if you encounter this error (800F0823) while updating to this build, retry again to get this update.
