Windows 10’s registry editor finally receives an update with the Insiders Preview build 14942 aired on 7th October for the Windows 10 Insiders in fast ring. It will give added value to the power users while navigating through the registry paths.

It’s often become a hectic for a power user to navigate to a specific registry path while working with the Windows Registry Editor. The Windows 10 Insiders Preview build 14942 brought a change in the editor window to include an address bar, by which, it will allow you to directly navigate to that entry if you know the complete path.

 

On the top of the Registry Editor you can find this address bar, which can be focused using the keyboard shortcut combination “Alt + D”. Here you can select, copy and paste the part/full path you desire.
