The giant company released the RC build (Release Candidate) of Visual Studio 2015 Update 2, focusing mainly on stability and user's feedback received via the Update 1 RTM channel. Microsoft marked this as "Go Live", though it is still under prerelease and has few known issues.

Visual Studio 2015 Update 1 was released on December 2015 and now Microsoft came up with the RC build of Update 2, released on 3rd March 2016 as a "Go Live" prerelease version. This means that you can use these builds in production environments. But, as this is a prerelease version, you might encounter some bugs which will get fixed in the final release (RTM).
Upgrade from Update 2 RC to future Update 2 release candidates or Update 2 RTM of Visual Studio 2015 will be supported. In order to upgrade to future releases, you must first upgrade from Update 2 RC to Update 2 RTM.
