Along with Windows 10 insider preview build 14316, Microsoft added many new enhancements for the Windows Insiders to try first before it comes to general public along with the Windows 10 Anniversary Update coming in this summer.

 

In this build, they have added the ability to select which app notifications are more important to you in Action Center. Continue reading to learn more about it.

Action Center notifications are more important to Windows users. In this, user can get all the necessary notifications queued in a list category wise. But too many notifications are not always easy to filter out and to get the priority ones on the top.

 

The users of Windows 10 provided their feedback to Microsoft and the team there in the giant company

listened to users voice. They have added the ability to select which app notifications are more important to you in Action Center. You can prioritize its notifications in Action Center to be one of 3 levels: Normal, High or Top Priority. To try this out, you should be in fast ring Windows Insiders (as of now) and you should have Windows 10 Insiders Preview Build: 14316 installed in your system.

 

On your device, you can manage the notification settings for individual app by going to Settings > System > Notifications & actions.

Just click or tap on a specific app to adjust its notification settings. You can select which app notifications are more important to you in Action Center. You can also set whether you want to keep the notifications private on the lock screen.

Additionally, you can also adjust how many notifications are visible per app. You can set 1, 3, 5, 10 or 20 nos. of notification. Currently, the default value is now 3 per application. If an app has more than 3 notifications, just tap to expand and see all notifications for that app.

 

You can also set the priority of notifications in action center for individual app. It can have 3 levels of priority: Normal, High or Priority. Based on your requirement, set the one for individual app. Check the below screenshot for reference:
