Google releases Android 11 Beta for Pixel phones, focused on three key themes: People, Controls, and Privacy

What's new in Android 11 Beta?

People-centric and expressive design

Google said that the company is now making Android more "people-centric and expressive", so that, it can recognize and prioritize certain conversations of most important people in your life.

Conversation notifications appear in a dedicated section at the top of the shade, with a people-forward design and conversation specific actions. Bubbles help users to keep conversations in view and accessible while multitasking.

Consolidated keyboard suggestions in Android 11 beta let Autofill apps and Input Method Editors (IMEs) securely and offer context-specific entities, strings directly in an IME's suggestion strip.

For people who control their phone entirely by voice, now includes an on-device visual cortex that understands screen content and context.

Controls over all of your smart devices

The latest version of Android can now help you quickly get all of your smart devices and control them in one space. A new power button menu has been added in Android 11 beta that gives users the ability to access their connected devices more easily.

Media Controls make it quick and convenient for users to switch the output device for their audio or video content.

More control over Privacy information

With Android 11 Beta, Google is now providing users, even more, control over sensitive permissions and working to keep devices more secure through faster updates.

Users will be able to give apps one-time access to microphone, camera, or location and the app will request access again when it is used the next time. If users haven't used an app for an extended period of time, Android 11 will "auto-reset" all of the runtime permissions associated with the app and notify the user.

Google said that they added more than doubled the number of updatable modules, and those 12 new modules will help improve privacy, security, and consistency for users and developers.
