Microsoft recently released Windows 10 Preview Build 21337 to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The latest preview build from the RS_PRERELEASE branch adds some new improvements that include more control over Virtual Desktops, auto HDR Preview, a better File Explorer layout, and more.


As a PC gamer, you can now experience Auto HDR Preview on Windows 10 which will automatically improve your PC gaming experience on an additional 1000+ DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 games.


Windows 10 build 21337 gets Auto HDR (Preview) for PC gaming experience


HDR (High Dynamic Range) is a video/imaging technique which adds more details in a digitally reproduced scenes by adding better lights and darks visual. When you need a more immersive and realistic experience, the increased range of colors and luminance of HDR makes the video gaming experience a better place.


When enabled, you will be able to see the details of haunting movements in dark shadows rather than just black. The bright sun will be more radiant.


With the latest Windows 10 Insiders Preview Build 21337, Microsoft is now making this experience better for PC gamers by using Auto HDR. When enabled on your HDR-capable gaming PC, you will automatically get awesome HDR visuals on an additional 1000+ DirectX 11 and DirectX 12 games, says Microsoft.


To enable the Auto HDR mode, navigate to Settings > System > Display. Click the Windows HD Color Settings link. Scroll down and make sure that the Use HDR toggle is ON. Now keep scrolling further to find the Auto HDR toggle. Flip this to turn ON the Auto HDR mode. Do note that the feature is currently available only to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel.
