Why is Cloud Gaming on the Rise? Find out Here

If you want to find out why cloud gaming is on the rise then simply take a look below.

Game On

Cloud gaming is very quickly becoming the new normal. The same concept can be applied to the video game streaming sector. The rollout of 5G is helping to ensure that games continue to gain a lot of momentum. The rollout of 5G is boosting the trends with reduced lag times and quick data. When you look at the leader of the pack, you will soon see that it is 5G.

The market size of consumer-related VR hardware and even software is set to increase from $6 billion to $16 billion. Not only is VR becoming way more affordable, but it is also becoming a lot better. This is a trend that is very likely to speed up because Facebook has been able to acquire the new Oculus Quest 2 headset.

ESports tournaments have helped to take gaming to that next level. A lot of this comes down to streaming services, such as Twitch. Amateurs can play, but it would seem that there is also a subset of professional gamers who are earning a lot of money with ease via sponsorship deals and of course advertising revenues from their channels.

A lot of the steam has come from people playing live casino games. As people invest more and more in multiplayer live gaming, it is not hard to see how things are going to take a turn for the better, and this is incredible news, to say the least.

eSports

The biggest tournament in the world would be the Dota 2 Championship. This has increased its prize pool but at the end of the day, there is a subscription required. It went from $1.6 billion to $34 billion in a very short space of time. It is not just the payout that is huge though, the audience is big too. In the year 2021, the number of viewers surpassed every other professional sporting league. The only exception would be the NFL.

Top Players

Microsoft has been very dominant in the gaming industry. The very first Xbox was revealed in the year 2001 and ever since then, they have helped to push the whole sector forward. They released their Game pass and this helped to make sure that everyone had access to the games that they wanted.

When you look at Sony and Nintendo who are their biggest competitors, you will soon see that they have a lot of respect for them, but it would seem that Google and Amazon are their biggest threats. Google has their system called Stadia. This can be played on almost any device you want. Luna, from Amazon, has been unveiled and you can get early access to it if you want. This is being done until it is far more widely rolled out. Major players are NVidia and Apple Arcade.

Of course, this is all helping the gaming industry to move forward, and it is also really showing the potential of the industry in general, which is fantastic, to say the least.
