Microsoft Visual Studio 2022 version 17.0 was generally available on November 8, 2021, and continues adding new features & improvements to it. Now the company releases Visual Studio 2022 version 17.1 Preview 5, which brings several bug fixes.

 

In this context, it is worth noting that Visual Studio 2022 is the first version of the IDE that is available as a 64-bit app and thus it is not limited to ~4GB of memory in the main devenv.exe process.

Mid-January 2022, Microsoft released the first build of Edge 99 to the insiders running the Dev Channel builds. A week later, the company released Microsoft Edge Dev build 99.0.1135.5 with the ability to use Web Capture in PDFs, the ability to change the units that the air temperature is shown in on Edge mobile apps, support for Data Loss Prevention on websites by default, and more.

HDR (High Dynamic Range) is the next major leap in display technology. HDR10 provides a more detailed and realistic image, while Dolby Vision produces an enhanced cinematic experience with deeper colors that deliver on the detail you can't see before - even if it's right before your eyes!

 

HDR10 is open-standard and nonproprietary, whereas Dolby Vision requires a license from them. HDR10 is a superior standard when it comes to image quality, but Dolby Vision offers some advantages. Dolby Vision offers a far better picture quality than HDR10, due to its dynamic metadata.

Microsoft Office version 2202 receives a new update. If you are an Office Insider in the Windows Beta Channel, Microsoft is now rolling out build 14912.20000 with a new feature improvement for Microsoft Excel users using Power BI-connected PivotTables.

 

Apart from that new feature improvement for Microsoft Excel, the latest version also includes a few fixes for Microsoft Word, Microsoft Outlook client for Windows, Microsoft Access, and Microsoft Office Suite.

Two days ago Microsoft released Windows 11 Build 22538 to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel that added some new features and improvements to the operating system. The new improvement includes an updated voice access experience, updated ALT + TAB experience, and more.

 

Now the company has released the KB5010882 update (Build 22538.1010) to the Dev Channel insiders. The new build does not include any new features as the company is testing its servicing pipeline with this build.
