Google's security group has recently reported a series of problems that could lead to spyware attacks on Android smartphones. At least five "zero-day vulnerabilities" have been identified that could be used to install spyware called Predator. Google's own Threat Analysis Group (TAG) has identified multiple threats that may have occurred from various locations.

 

It is thought that the Predator spyware may have been backed by a commercial company called Cytrox, which is used for surveillance.

Microsoft released Windows 11 Dev Build 25126 to the Windows Insiders. This build is rolling out to the Dev Channel insiders which is most likely to be for Windows 11 version 23H2 (Sun Valley 3) release. The latest build includes several improvements and fixes to Windows 11, including an improved Account Settings page.

Last week only Microsoft released Windows 11 Build 22000.706 as a cumulative update (KB5014019) to the Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Channel. This build adds two new features including Windows Spotlight to Windows 11 along with other improvements and fixes.

 

Now the company has promoted it to the mainline users as an optional update (build 22000.708) with the exact list of changes, improvements, and fixes.

Microsoft released a new cumulative update for Windows 10. The Windows Insiders running Windows 10 version 21H2 under Release Preview Channel will receive this update (KB5014023) as build 19044.1739. Though the company made this update optional, it includes several non-security fixes that make Windows 10 more stable.

Over the past few weeks, Microsoft added several new features to Microsoft Office version 2206. For example, Office Build 15227 introduces voice dictation to take notes, an optimized recalculation in Microsoft Excel, and optimized Auto filter in Excel, faster formula entry in a cell, and shared documents access to guest users. In addition to these, Office Build 15310 extends the maximum number of form responses to 5 million.

 

And now a new update (build 15313.20000) for Microsoft Office version 2206 is rolling out to the Office Insiders in the Windows Beta Channel (Fast Ring) with several bug fixes.
