Microsoft's next major Windows 10 feature update (Windows 10 May 2019 Update, version 1903) is now available to everyone who checks for updates. This update includes quite a few new features that you won't like to miss.

 

You can now grab this update directly from the Windows Update by navigating to Settings | Update & Security | Windows Update | Check for updates.

Microsoft rolled out a new update to its Your Phone Companion app for Android, that's now allows you to sync over mobile data. Prior to that, you need to have your phone connected to WiFi for your content to show up on your PC.

 

Though this capability is disabled by default to save your data charges, but when you need it, you can navigate to app settings to make it enabled.

With this rule in place, you can now configure a password for your Active Directory with much more flexibility, while keeping your account secure.

Microsoft releases the next preview build of Visual Studio 2019. The latest version of Visual Studio 2019 (version 16.1 Preview 3) comes with IntelliCode. Addition to other improvements, it also includes an early preview of the XAML Designer for developers building .NET Core 3.0 WPF applications.

 

If you are on Preview channel, you wouldn't like to miss the IntelliCode and other improvements before anyone on the Release channel.

If you could remember, how badly the Windows 10 October 2018 Update hit few consumers after upgrading to the latest update of Windows 10 just immediate after the release. Though the impact was not big, but it gave Microsoft time to think about improving the overall update experience.

 

Beginning with the Windows 10 May 2019 Update, users will have more control on installing the feature update. This has already started rolling out to few customers.
