Microsoft releases a new update build for Microsoft Office version 2203 this week. If you are an Office Insider in the Windows Beta Channel, Microsoft is now rolling out build 15012.20000. The latest office preview build adds several improvements in terms of bug fixing.

Word - Notable Fixes

  • We fixed an issue where the app would intermittently stop responding when checking for updates.
  • We fixed an issue that was causing SVG images that contained external content to not show up in some cases.
  • We fixed an issue with Track Changes where revision marks were not working as expected.
  • We fixed an issue where invoking Repeat through the user interface, or VBA after hitting Enter, would insert the whole current paragraph in addition to the newly inserted paragraph.
  • We fixed an issue where the Save As dialog would appear unexpectedly while editing a document.

Excel - Notable Fixes

  • We fixed an issue to correct how the counties of Spain were appearing in map charts.
  • We fixed an issue that was preventing the user from being able to paste a copied cell into the text field in the Custom Filter dialog.
  • We fixed an issue to align how gradients fill on a series in a waterfall chart with how they fill on a series in a column chart.

Outlook - Notable Fix

  • We fixed an issue where a received email would not include a link to open the message.

PowerPoint - Notable Fix

  • We fixed an issue where certain text color operations were incorrectly disabled when a document was encrypted with rights management.

Project - Notable Fixes

  • We fixed an issue where, when using the Physical % Complete tracking method, calculated BCWP values greater than 10,000,000,000 on a task were not possible.
  • We fixed an issue where the user would see a security dialog stating that the project had links to one or more data sources, even though the project had no active links. Now, the dialog appears only when there are active links.
  • We fixed an issue where there was intermittent data loss when saving for various baseline fields.
  • We fixed an issue where the save operation to a network drive would become very slow when using the Save As PDF (*.pdf) command.

Office Suite - Notable Fixes

  • We fixed an issue that reduced the number of SVG image saves that didn’t work.
  • We fixed an issue where the user could not open a file in Application Guard.
