📢 Microsoft Teams October 2022 Update added these new features

Microsoft is continuing its support in building MSTeams as the best tool for communication and collaboration online. We have seen earlier that the company is regularly adding new features to it, and at the end of the month comes a detailed list of features added during the month.

In October 2022 also, the Redmond-based software giant added a long list of features and new capabilities to Microsoft Teams:

• While a virtual meeting is going on, the meeting organizers and presenters can now assign seats to participants in Together Mode. For those who are unaware of the "Together Mode" feature of Microsoft Teams, it is a way to make meeting participants feel more likely they are in the same room.
• In October 2022, Microsoft added the ability for users to pop out shared meeting content in a separate window. This will make it easy to see both the shared content and the meeting participants with ease.

• Live Translated Caption is a premium feature, currently available to all users. Microsoft said that once the Teams Premium goes live, this feature will be limited to only those having the premium subscription.
• For a better hybrid meeting experience, Microsoft has updated the companion mode in Teams on mobile for Android users. Earlier it was available to iOS users only.
• You will now see a more comprehensive view of your call history to see how calls arrived, whether the calls were transferred or forwarded, and how they were controlled once received.
• You can now create contact groups in Microsoft Teams. This capability is now available in the right rail pane of the Calls app.

• With the latest updates, Microsoft combined the best of Teams templates with SharePoint site templates into the same flow of creation.
• Tenant admins can now set Adobe Acrobat as the default app in Teams Admin Center to view and edit PDF files in Microsoft Teams.
• Suggested Replies in Group Chat are not available.
• You can now create short, lightweight, rich video clips to express yourself.
• Microsoft Teams calendar now includes scheduling form pop-outs.
