Microsoft started rolling out the next major upgrade release of Windows 10. They named it as Windows 10 April 2018 Update. This new update focuses on features like Timeline, Focus Assist, Microsoft Edge improvements and many more.

Microsoft is all set to release the next major public update of Windows 10 next month from their Redstone 4 (RS4) branch. If you are a Windows Insider, you have already installed and experienced all or most of the preview builds in last few months.

 

As it is approaching the RTM state, you may like to opt-out from the preview build and be inline with the public version. Follow the steps mentioned here.

Just three days ago, on 27th March, Microsoft released the Windows 10 Preview Build 17133 to the insiders in the fast ring, and now they have started rolling out to insiders in the slow ring by marking it as 'Feature update to Windows 10'.

 

The build will gradually roll out, but if you can't wait, you can force it by manually checking for new updates, if you are in the slow ring.

If you are a Windows Insider in the Fast Ring, and opted in to Skip Ahead, Microsoft has aired a new build for you with new features, changes and a set of fixes. Windows 10 Insiders Preview Build 17623 for PC is now available.

 

This build focuses on High Efficiency Image File Format (HEIF), External GPU Safe Remove Experience and Windows Defender Application Guard (WDAG) improvements.

While Microsoft is preparing the major update of Windows 10, targeting this Spring, the development team has already started working on the next feature branch Redstone 5 (RS5) and delivered the second build (17618) to insiders who opted for Skip Ahead.

Microsoft released a new preview build 17112, to the Windows Insiders in the fast ring. This build is from the Redstone 4 development branch and contains no new features rather than a bunch of fixes to make it ready for the next major release.

Microsoft is adding a new Power Plan policy to Windows 10 Pro workstations, to improve the performance of the computer. Along with Windows 10 Insiders Preview Build 17101, Microsoft previewed the same to the insiders in Fast Ring.

Microsoft started rolling out the first Redstone 5 build (Windows 10 Insiders Preview Build 17604) to the Windows Insiders, who have opted into Skip Ahead. As there's a limited space into Skip Ahead and that's already filled, no new registrations are now being accepted.

 

If you are a Windows Insider in the Fast Ring, you already have a fresh preview build 17101, which is already started rolling out.
