Microsoft publishes the enterprise roadmap and release schedule of its Microsoft Edge browser for 2020-21. This will offer more insight into the features that Microsoft is currently working and going to make available in the next releases. This will help enterprises to plan deployments and prepare for upcoming changes.
The enterprise roadmap of Microsoft Edge (Chromium) is part of the Microsoft 365 roadmap portal, and here you can now find the complete release schedule up to Edge version 89 with target release till April 2021.
"Since releasing the new Microsoft Edge, we've heard feedback that customers, especially in enterprise environments, need more visibility into our feature roadmap and release schedule so they can plan deployments and prepare for upcoming changes", Microsoft said it in a blog post.
According to the new release schedule, the Stable Channel will receive the update one month after the version released to the Beta Channel. By that time, the enterprises can prepare for the upcoming changes to plan for deployments accordingly.
