We are very excited to introduce to all of you the redesigned Notepad for Windows 11, which includes a number of changes we think the community will enjoy!, says Microsoft. Finally, the company listened to what the users have been asking for years.

Though the updated app still lags far behind the popular Notepad++ app, that's definitely a great start.

The first thing that you will notice in the updated version of the new Notepad app is a completely updated UI that aligns with the new visual design of Windows 11. It now includes rounded corners, the Mica material theme, and much more.

Dark Mode is now part of the Notepad app. It will now adapt your system theme preferences. You can change this option yourself on the brand-new settings page which is the new home for font options as well.

In this build, Microsoft also added a redesigned "Find and Replace" experience to the Windows 11 users. It also includes support for multi-level undo, which is another most demanded feature request from the users of the Windows operating system.
