Last week Microsoft released Windows 11 Build 25136 to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel, that includes the File Explorer Tabs and some navigational changes to the File Explorer window. Now the company is rolling out these File Explorer Tabs and Navigation updates to the insiders in the Beta Channel too.

 

The latest Windows 11 update comes as KB5014770, with build number 22621.160, and is now rolling out to the Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel.

Microsoft released a new update for Windows 11 users that adds a long waiting feature called "Tabs Layout" in the File Explorer window. The latest update is rolling out as Windows 11 Build 25136 to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. This update also brings a refreshed layout of the left navigation pane.

This build can now be validated by the organizations on devices ahead of the general availability of the next feature update. Microsoft releases a new update for PowerToys. The latest update comes as Microsoft PowerToys version 0.59.0 for Windows 11 and Windows 10 users. Though it is in public preview, comes with a bunch of new improvements. The company says that this release is focused on wrapping up building for native ARM64 and releasing the first experimental build.

Microsoft recently published a blog post where the company claimed that the Teams app has recently made a significant performance boost. They have come with some data, as highlighted below, that showed notable improvements in messaging and meeting experiences as seen today vs. August 2021. And this is based on the data from the 95th percentile of all desktop users in the world.

Microsoft released Windows 11 Dev Build 25126 to the Windows Insiders. This build is rolling out to the Dev Channel insiders which is most likely to be for Windows 11 version 23H2 (Sun Valley 3) release. The latest build includes several improvements and fixes to Windows 11, including an improved Account Settings page.

Last week only Microsoft released Windows 11 Build 22000.706 as a cumulative update (KB5014019) to the Windows Insiders in the Release Preview Channel. This build adds two new features including Windows Spotlight to Windows 11 along with other improvements and fixes.

 

Now the company has promoted it to the mainline users as an optional update (build 22000.708) with the exact list of changes, improvements, and fixes.

Microsoft released Windows 11 Build 25120 to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The latest build doesn't bring any key new features but enables support for a new experimental "search bar" on the desktop. Not only this, there are several quality improvements and bug fixes in this build.

Microsoft releases a new update to the Dev Channel insiders. As the latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25115 is now rolling out to Dev Channel only, this closes the window for you to be able to switch from the Dev Channel to the Beta Channel. This build will not be offered to ARM64 PCs, says Microsoft.

Microsoft releases a new update to the Windows 11 insiders, and interestingly, this build is rolling out in both the insider Dev Channel and Beta Channel users. That means you can still switch from the Dev Channel to Beta Channel if you are likely to do so!

More than a month after releasing Microsoft PowerToys 0.57.0, the company has now released a new update that bumps up the version number to 0.58.0. Sleeping Tabs is a feature in Microsoft Edge, introduced in late 2020, which lets the inactive browser tabs sleep after a specified time to save system resources. This feature is based on Chrome's "freezing" technology, but way better than that. An initial report has shown a 26% reduction in memory usage of the browser.

 

Now, with Microsoft Edge 100, the company has updated sleeping tabs to enable pages that are sharing a browsing instance with another page.
