Microsoft released a new cumulative update (KB5004296) for Windows 10 version 21H1, Windows 10 version 20H2, and Windows 10 version 2004. As this came as an optional update, it won't be downloaded automatically. You will have to manually click on the "Download and Install" link from the Windows Update settings page.

It's around one month that Windows 11 is running on almost all Windows Insiders systems opt in the Dev Channel. Now, Microsoft has promoted the last Dev Build (22000.100) to the Beta Channel. If you are still using Internet Explorer 11 (IE11), the Redmond giant has recently reminded its customers all over the world that the company is going to stop supporting Internet Explorer 11 from Microsoft 365 suite. That means all Microsoft 365 apps and services will cease support for Internet Explorer.

Microsoft is working on another new feature for Microsoft Teams that will add new Side-by-Side and Reporter Presenter modes to the desktop and window sharing in Microsoft Teams meetings. The feature has been started rolling out on both Windows and Mac.

As always, Microsoft released a new Office Build to the insiders running Microsoft Office Version 2108. The latest build 14315.20008 comes to the Office Insiders who are in the Windows Beta Channel. Though the new build comes with no new features, it fixes a few bugs for Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

 

Here's the full changelog of this build. To update to the latest Microsoft Office Insider Preview Build, open any office app and navigate to File > Account > Update Options, and click the Update Now button.

Windows 11 Build 22000.100 (KB5004300) is now rolling out as a cumulative update to the Windows Insiders who are in the Dev Channel. This is the fourth preview build to the insiders after Microsoft officially announced the launch of Windows 11 last month (June 24).

It's almost a month when Microsoft officially revealed the upcoming major release of their operating system, Windows 11. The new update to bring an updated UI, and improvements to performance, productivity, and security features. Windows 10 users meeting the minimum hardware requirements will receive a free upgrade to Windows 11.

 

Windows 11 is now available as a preview release to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel with a new Microsoft Store as a one-stop destination to browse and install apps, and games. Microsoft Edge browser, which is the default browser on Windows 11, also started appearing on Microsoft Store.

While the rumors are on regarding the release of Windows 11, Intel Corporation now added extra sugar to it by referring to "Microsoft Windows* 11-64 - October 2021 Update (21H2)" in one of its driver documentation hosted here.

 

As this is marked as "October 2021 Update (21H2)", it's quite expectable that Microsoft is going to RTM the all-new Windows 11 Operating System in the month of October 2021. Once released, it will be offered to Windows 10 users as a free upgrade if they meet the minimum hardware requirements.

Last week, Microsoft started rolling out the first preview build of Microsoft Office version 2108 to the Office Insiders who are in the Windows Beta Channel. That build (14301.20004) added a new feature to the Outlook client allowing you to turn off suggested replies if you are not happy with it.

 

This week the company released a new build (14312.20008) for Microsoft Office version 2108 that adds another new feature to the Outlook client and a set of few fixes for Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel.

A new Windows 11 preview build is now rolling out to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. The latest Windows 11 Dev Preview Build 22000.71 brings a bunch of new improvements. In addition to those improvements, the latest build a new entertainment widget.

If you are using Windows 10 version 2004 or newer, Microsoft released another update (KB5004237) this month to address several issues affecting Windows 10 systems. The last update (KB5004945) was released on July 6th to address a Windows Zero-day vulnerability called "PrintNightmare".

 

All users running Windows 10 version 2004 (May 2020 Update), Windows 10 version 20H2, and Windows 10 version 21H1 must update their systems with this KB5004237 update by running Windows Update from the Settings app.

Windows 11 was officially announced on June 24th, and 4 days later Microsoft released the first preview build to the Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel. Whereas Windows 11 is set to release later this year to new devices, the supported PCs running Windows 10 will receive this update in early 2022.

 

The free upgrade to Windows 11 will be available to all supported Windows 10 devices if you meet the minimum hardware requirements. After the upgrade, you will have 10 days to roll back to Windows 10 if you don't like Windows 11 or facing any troubles after upgrading.

In March, we have reported about Microsoft adding Flipgrid video support to Microsoft PowerPoint slides, and during that time it was rolled out to the Office Insiders who are in the Windows Beta Channel (Fast Ring). If you are using Windows 10 version 2004 or newer, Microsoft released an emergency update (KB5004945) to address a Windows Zero-day vulnerability. This vulnerability is called as "PrintNightmare" and is being exploited by attackers to achieve local privileges and remote code execution through the Windows Print Spooler service.
